The Essanay Café features Wine Country Cuisine in a relaxed intimate bistro style setting steeped in the history of the silent film era that Charlie Chaplin, Broncho Billy and others brought to the street right outside the front door of this restaurant.

* The second Wednesday night of each month at the Cafe features an "open-mic" venue where all are welcome - musicians, poets, comedians of all kinds. For this we offer a limited bistro style menu featuring our fine wines from local vineyards and wineries as well as domestic and international beers. Come and enjoy the fun! And don't forget, on the first Tuesday of each month we feature a Family Dinner/Recession Dinner for $12 for adults and $6 for kids that includes dessert.

Chef Dave Benz is a graduate of The California Culinary Academy Le Cordon Bleu Program having earned his culinary degree in 2005.
Chef Dave builds on his experience to offer the classic taste of Wine Country cuisine by incorporating the best of local organic produce, a wonderful use of herbs and wine reductions and the very freshest ingredients. Live music Thursday through Sunday, featuring jazz, folk, and classical, under the stars on our patio, just perfect for that intimate dinner or equally for that large party of family and friends. In addition to Evening Dining, Weekend Brunch features a selection of breakfast classics, plus gourmet Burgers, mouth-watering Sandwiches, and fresh Salads.
